I interviewed through a recruiter first, then a manager, then an online interview with multiple QA managers/personnel, and finally an onsite interview and small tour. The final interview was pretty standard, a panel of about 6 people asking about prior job experiences to assess whether they would transfer well to the role. The interview included basic explanations about the role requirements.
It's worth noting that while I ultimately accepted the role, I needed to negotiate beyond what I considered reasonable to get the offer I wanted. Working with a recruiter, I had shared my minimum wage expectations and was told that this was within the range and reasonable, but when the offer came, it was almost 10% lower than I had said I would accept. The lowball was a surprise to myself and the recruiter. I was able to negotiate back to the MINIMUM amount I said I would take (after one more unacceptable offer), but it cast my start there in a negative light. Had I had other options at the time, this disrespectful response would've convinced me to say no outright.
