Overall, the recruiting manager was great and available throughout the process. And while my second interviewer was extremely transparent about the company's controversial background, as she was willing to answer all questions, address any doubts, and things of that nature, the last person I spoke with was not. I was essentially being offered the position on a silver platter before asking to speak with the lead copywriter, who I wanted to speak with so I learn how working there is truly perceived. Got a call the following Monday saying that I'd been taken out of the equation after that talk... after being told I was the only candidate that met all their qualifications. The joke's on me, I guess. Regardless, I never got paid for the assessment, even though I was requested to provide my bank information.
