      Coordinator Interview

      Mar 2, 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      New York, NY
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at SADA (New York, NY)

      Interview

Applied twice (about two months apart) and heard back the second time. Phone interview with recuiter - standard and easy. Said there was a video interview but went straight to in person. In person interview with hiring manager and a manager - quick and straight to the point. Nothing stood out. To this point everything was smooth and the timeline they gave me was accurate. Once I got the offer everything changed. Ask couple question via email after receiving offer. One of which was working remote (forgot to ask during my interview and was just curious) and they came back with a long paragraph lecturing me about how this position can't work from home and if thats a problem you should reconsider the offer. Kind of rub me the wrong way but I replied saying the daily commute is fine and I was just curious. Next question I ask was for an extension (I had multiple offers and wanted a bit more time to consider all the offer). The recuiter called me and ask me what's going on. I told him my situation and his response surprised he. He said he would advise me to not take the offer because the two questions I asked left a bad taste in the hiring manager mouth and he had candidates ready to come in and take the offer. He also mentioned that he had numbers to hit and continued to tell me to not take the offer. I did not appreciate that at all because I believe those two question were simple yes or no questions. TL;DR - don't ask too many questions.

SADA Systems appreciates your feedback and will utilize it to make improvements. We do have some employees who work remote and we also have a work from home policy when needed, but the specific role mentioned here is based out of our HQ office. In addition, your commute was very far and from experience, we know that a lengthy commute can take its toll. We believe in being open and honest about our expectations so both sides can make the best decision. I am truly sorry to hear you had a bad experience, as that was not our intention. Our recruiters work hard to close requisitions with the right candidates and do not have quotas. We do have a lot great candidates and always try to make sure that SADA is the #1 pick for candidates we make an offer to. We appreciate your time, consideration and feedback. -People Operations-
