      Credit Analyst Trainee Interview

      Jun 14, 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at S&P Global

      Interview

I think they follow a stress invterview, bad cop/ good cop interview approach, which really stressed me out personally. I requested what type of questions would be asked prior to the interview, to be as much prepared as possible and they didn't really take the time to reply. It was not necessarily that the questions themselves were hard, but it was the emotional/stress aspect that I found hard. The interview was bad, I definitely made my own mistakes, but it was a truly humiliating experience and thus, I have decided to not apply to this company again. My advice to management would be: a stress approach is not really the way to go and please take the time to reply to your candidates, since when you value them, they will value you back and give you what is asked for.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

      1) They asked for me to go in depth for what exactly I did in my previous roles. 2) Prior Credit Analysis experience (this was just a desired criteria and not a hard requirement on the job spec). 3) What are the differences and similarities between equity and debt. 4) What happened with your previous employment. 5) What have you been doing in the meantime.
