HR call and then call with department head. Hectic overall experience however was during the pandemic. Didn't get much details on the actual job and the interviewer was rushed and rude.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Ruptly (Berlin) in Sep 2022
Interview
First interview with the HR person, very chill. The second was with journalists and focused on my knowledge of news. They felt the need to tell me they were Russian even it was a German Gmbh.
This is a very weird experience...so I sent an application then out of the blue they called me when I am still in my office and asked if I have 10 minutes, I said ok then the person on the phone was in a very monotonous voice...at the end she asked me whether I have any question but I am a person with full time job, without an appointment beforehand there is no way I can collect a bunch of questions for whichever position I applied... so I said I had no time to prepare, therefore no question. The next day I received another email telling me that they would like me to go to their office for a face to face interview at 1700 which is a very very short notice for my current company, and we usually finish at 1800...of course they asked me whether it is ok but the way they arrange it, is very lack of organisation.
I am all in for being spontaneous and fast, but in this case I can only feel their desperation and unprofessional, also the disrespect. Therefore I decided to take another offer I got and told them I will not proceed further with them.
