The HR representative proactively reached out to me via LinkedIn. During the phone screen, I mentioned that I wasn’t quite at the senior level, at most a mid-level candidate. The recruiter said that based on my resume, it was worth giving it a try.
First interview:A senior manager conducted the online interview, asking a series of in-depth technical questions related to my resume. As expected, there was a significant gap between my abilities and the manager's expectations.
What surprised me more was that the manager was also dissatisfied with my English proficiency, which hadn’t been brought up in any of my previous interviews. The manager's tone was rather sharp, and the entire interview process felt quite uncomfortable.
A few days after the interview, I received a rejection.
