Seems like many good options but have to travel quite a lot, could be a great option depending on goals. I think i’ll consider alternatives some more before deciding. Also it seems is probably worth it if you come away with something in demand.

Very long process. 12-18 months of interviews, medical and psychometric testing. 5 different stages. You session. Then pilot testing. Then a defence psychological interview. Then Aviation Screening Program. Then an Officer selection board.

There was no interview process when applying for a Defense job.
I went in to Defense Recruiting and they asked for my name and details.
They told me my name was put in a pool and then they'd get back to me.
It took about four to six weeks.
