      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Rover.com

      Interview

Had a phone screen. Recruiter said he thought I was a great candidate and that he would share my profile with the hiring leader. Never heard back. Sent 2 follow up emails and never got a response.

      Anonymous interview candidate
      Seattle, WA
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Rover.com (Seattle, WA) in Aug 2019

      Interview

Longish interview process consisting of several rounds, both via phone and in person. About average for the seniority level of the position. I will say that everyone I spoke with was upbeat and positive. It seems like this would be a great place to work. I'm disappointed to not get the offer, but they did seem to give me fair shot at it. The notification that I didn't get the position was a call from the recruiter extending her regrets. VERY professional and smoothly done throughout the process.

      Application

      I interviewed at Rover.com

      Interview

While the phone interviews all went very well, the in-person interviews were a bit strange. They seemed to forget that interviewing is a two-way street as there was little to no attempt made to make me feel welcome and no tour was given. Instead, I was subjected to the usual grilling, as well as one interviewer who made a point to throw out a problem, hoping for a "gotcha" moment. I was also asked specific questions that were clearly outside of my professional experience or the role. It was more of an interrogation than a professional interview but this did solidfy my view of the company culture and if offered, I would have turned them down.
