      Head Of Customer Experience Interview

      Application

I applied through other source. I interviewed at Roomify

      Interview

I was reached out to by Shanil, the CEO of the company asking me if I was interested in the position. I responded after looking into the job and company and found that it seemed to be a legitimate offer. We set up a phone interview and it went very well, at least I thought it did. He then sent me an e-mail asking to meet me at a busy downtown coffeehouse. I set the time and date and went to meet him. I arrived at the coffeehouse 15 minutes early and waited, 15 minutes later, he still wasn't there so I texted him to make sure I didn't miss him or pass by him. 5 minutes later, I called him and he went to voicemail. I waited 15 more minutes and then I left. He responded a whole 45 minutes after the interview time that he wasn't going to make it and that we needed to reschedule. I understood and threw some options at him for our re-schedule. He never responded. I sent him an e-mail a day or two later and he responded that they ended up just not hiring for the position. A week later, I see the posting for the position on Indeed. I am really disappointed and even a little hurt that the CEO of a company needed to lie to me, and even flake on an interview. Unprofessionalism at it's finest.
