I was invited to speak with a member of the recruiting team for a 30-minute phone screen. I was told after the call that said interviewer would speak with the team and get back to me with the next steps. This process would take no more than two days. I followed up with the interviewer twice thanking them for their time and showed excitement for the opportunity presented. The reason for this Glassdoor isn't about the actual phone interview, it's for the lack of follow up. Following up with a candidate after a phone call is huge. Especially during these uncertain times. As a candidate, being ghosted by a recruiter or company is not only unprofessional, it feels terrible.
