9 rounds. They are extremely fixated on your future development, hopes, and dreams here and ask rather esoteric and abstract questions as a result. Pretty much no behaviorals or technical questions and it seems they don't really care about your relevant experience. As much time as they spend assessing culture fit, it's unclear if they even know what they want.
Got a first video call with hiring manager. The hiring manager was very nice and approachable. They were trying to hire a person with two very separate skillset under same role so did not work out.
I applied online. I interviewed at Revolution Medicines (Redwood City, CA)
Interview
The interview process at RevMed is fast-paced and technically rigorous, starting with an HR screen and a 30-minute Zoom call with the hiring manager. This is followed by two 30-minute "Zoom Coffee Sessions" with team members; despite the informal name, these are structured 1-on-1s designed to prepare you for the on-site. The on-site itself includes a 45-minute scientific presentation with a 15-minute Q&A, followed by back-to-back interviews with the team and cross-functional partners. While the company values deep scientific debate and moves quickly during scheduling, the post-interview experience can be disappointing. Despite the high level of engagement during the process, I was ghosted following the on-site; even after a follow-up email weeks later, I received no definitive result or response.
