      IT Support Engineer Interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Revolut (London, England) in Jul 2025

      Interview

Applied for an IT Support Engineer role. The process involved multiple stages: first was an HR interview, then a Q&A-style test (which I passed), followed by a technical interview. The whole process took around 3–4 weeks just to complete three stages — a bit too long for what should’ve been a straightforward hire. The first and second stages were handled professionally. In the initial HR stage, they mentioned there were two roles available — one junior and one senior — which made me feel there could be flexibility depending on experience. I also clearly stated during that HR call (as well as on my CV and in the Q&A test) that I did not have Jamf experience, but had worked with alternatives like Atera and Intune. For the third stage, I was given a prep document with technical topics and sample answers, which was helpful. However, about 80% of what I prepared for didn’t come up. Instead, the interviewer mostly asked about my experience and tech stack, referring to my CV more than the provided topics. What didn’t sit right with me is that I was rejected for two reasons: No Jamf experience – despite being upfront about this in every stage. Not being concise enough – which I feel is subjective. I answered every question fully and backed my responses with clear examples. What’s most confusing is that, even with two roles being discussed from the beginning, I was told I wasn’t successful for either. Based on the feedback I received, it’s unclear why I wouldn’t be a fit at least for the junior position — especially when my responses aligned with what was asked. Overall, I’m leaving a neutral review. While parts of the process were professional, the final outcome and reasoning lacked transparency and didn’t reflect the reality of the interview stages.
