      Sales Development Representative Interview

      Sep 23, 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Toronto, ON
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Resolver (Toronto, ON) in Aug 2019

      Interview

I was first interviewed by the recruiter mid-August via phone. After this, they told me they actually wanted to hire for the end of September. I agreed that this was okay for me and we proceeded with a case study which took about 40-50min and revolved around good spelling and grammar. Then, we scheduled a mock sales call for which I prepared for tirelessly and performed well on. After this, I heard nothing from them for about a week and when I reached out, they said they actually wanted to hire someone for November. Very unprofessional and they clearly do not value their potential candidates time. No offer was given but they asked me if I was okay to wait for this... I mean, I'm highly qualified and I need to pay my bills, what do you think?

Hi there, We are sorry that you had a negative experience during our recruitment process. When we reach out to candidates, that means we think you'd be a great fit for Resolver! Due to the nature of the tech industry and our ever-evolving business, we sometimes have to pivot and change direction with our hiring needs, which can potentially impact the roles that we hire for. It seems like this unfortunately happened with the role that you applied for. It is not our intention to waste a candidate's time and once we have an update we connect with our candidates as soon as possible. Next time, we will do a better job of communicating this to future candidates of our hiring timelines. We appreciate your feedback, and wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors! Thank you!
