The recruiting process is unorganized. Had a phone interview and was asked if I would be interested in an internship instead since I didn't have agency experience and I said yes. They asked me to do a writing assignment beforehand and I submitted it 7 weeks ago and am just now hearing back from them. The rejection email was worded strange and was not straightforward by saying a different role that I didn't apply for had been filled while saying they were still recruiting for the role I had originally applied for even though I was asked to interview as an intern.
