I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Red Bull Media House (Los Angeles, CA) in Dec 2025
Interview
Complete waste of time.
I applied online and had a video screening with a recruiter. They asked me a bunch of questions that didn't relate to my experience at all and didn't seem to match the job description. When I asked, the recruiter said the applicant "portal is hit or miss" and only attached my cover letter. My resume and cover letter were attached as one document. They said I could email my resume after we finish.
The rest of the interview was strange because the recruiter clearly didn't have any of my background info and continued to ask me questions that didn't relate to me or the job.
At the end of the interview, the recruiter said they would talk to the hiring manager and have an update for me on Monday the following week.
For 2 months, I emailed the recruiter and was repeatedly told that they were meeting with the hiring manager with a timeframe, only to never hear from them until I emailed again asking for an update. Funny, because the recruiter bragged about his performance that he always met his goals and got bonuses at work.
After receiving empty promises and timelines that were never honored, I removed myself from the process.
Interview through HireVue was very easy. You get unlimited tries and it's only five questions. The questions are very much tailored to who you are rather than your experience. They wanna get to know you as a person in this virtual video interview.
