I’ve never left a negative Glassdoor review before, but this interview experience was genuinely disappointing.
The process stretched over a month with multiple interview rounds and ultimately required a significant amount of unpaid strategic and creative work, including a custom 30-minute presentation delivered to a panel of 5+ people during an hour-long call. The level of effort expected from candidates felt far beyond a reasonable interview exercise.
What made the experience especially frustrating was the handling of the final stage. The president who had previously interviewed me did not attend the presentation, there was no attempt to reconnect or reschedule afterward, and communication went silent for a week before I received a generic rejection message.
I completely understand that not every interview leads to an offer, but companies should respect candidates’ time and avoid requesting extensive unpaid work unless there is genuine transparency, engagement, and professional follow-through throughout the process.
The overall experience left me with a negative impression of both the hiring process and the company culture, and I hope the company rethinks how future candidates are evaluated moving forward.
