I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at RealSelf (Seattle, WA) in Jun 2016
Interview
I first spoke with the Head of Talent and exchanged emails with their recruiting coordinator afterward to scheduled my onsite interview. I was given very clear instructions on what to do when I got to the office as well as who I would be meeting with, very much appreciated! The recruiting coordinator greeted me with a huge smile which totally eased my nerves.
I met with four different members of the team: Head of Talent, Head of Finance, VP of Product and VP of People. Each interviewer made me feel comfortable and as if they truly cared about the time I was spending with them. Their questions for me were all different and I did not feel like I was repeating myself with each person. My final interview was with Tom, the CEO, and meeting with him was also a great experience - very casual but enjoyable.
When I began the interview process I was excited but nervous about leaving my current job, and by the final interview I was crossing my fingers and toes for an offer with no doubt in my mind that I would accept it.

What would you say to someone who has a negative perception of cosmetic surgery when explaining what our company does?
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at RealSelf (Seattle, WA) in Feb 2017
Interview
I began by working with the Recruiting Coordinator to set up a time for a phone screen. The next week, I met with the hiring manager for a coffee chat. This meeting was mostly informational and I loved that I got to learn more about the role and the company. Shortly after, I heard back from the Recruiting Coordinator to schedule a time for a 2.5 hour interview with multiple people from the company.
These 30 minute interview sessions could have been super dry and repetitive, but I walked away feeling energized, refreshed, and more excited to work for RealSelf! The interviewers were informal, asking about my job experience and skills in a way that didn't feel robotic or scripted. I enjoyed talking to all of them and could see myself working with them in the future. I love the way RealSelf interviews - I felt like a worthwhile person rather than just another candidate.
My interviews with RealSelf ended with a separate 1:1 with the VP followed by a verbal offer over the phone shortly after. During the 3+ week process, I never felt like I was out of the loop or misinformed about timelines. The recruiting team was very communicative and helpful throughout the whole process! This was by far the best interview process I've been through.
