The interview was around 30 minutes. I had to ask the person interviewing me to speak up, as they were using the speaker function on what I would assume was a standard office phone. It was revealed to me that I would not actually be a climbing trainee "right away", as the interviewer put it, but I would start in lawn care and after 6-8 months then I would begin training for tree climbing. It was unclear whether it was actually full-time or not, the interviewer made contradicting statements over the course of the interview. It also wasn't clear if there were benefits. The impression I got is that they are looking for lawn care guys and draw people in by advertising for the better-paying climbing arborist position. I suspect they have trouble getting people for lawn care, as their starting pay is $16 per hour.
With all the vagueness, I declined to continue the interview process.
