Overall, this was a very disappointing candidate experience.
My initial phone screening was missed entirely, and I only received a rescheduling email at the time the interview was supposed to happen. I understood that things can come up, so I gave the process the benefit of the doubt.
During the second attempt, the recruiter joined about 30 minutes late. The screening itself lasted only a few minutes, and I was not given a real opportunity to discuss my background, answer meaningful questions, or ask questions of my own. I was told that my resume was strong and that I would be moved forward to speak with the Hiring Manager the following week.
After that, I followed up several times over the course of five weeks and received no response. When I finally did hear back, I was told the team had decided to move forward with candidates who were more aligned with their needs.
What made the experience especially frustrating is that I was never given a meaningful opportunity to speak about my experience or qualifications in the first place. Based on the process, it is difficult to understand how that conclusion was reached.
Overall, the process felt disorganized, discourteous, and dismissive of my time as a candidate.
