I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at RTX (Indianapolis, IN) in Oct 2018
Interview
They are unprepared and not experienced in interviewing. They were not expecting me even though they scheduled the interview after two prior phone screens that went well. Once on-site in Indianapolis it was a very different and negative feel. The hiring manager did not have time to meet me due to his meeting schedule. He handed me off to an old guy that was not expecting to interview me (and shared that with me) and did not even have a room available. They killed about 2 hours of time showing me things like their cafeteria and never followed up. During this time the "guy" said that he liked the fact that nothing had changed there in over 20 years. Inside it was a sea of old fashioned cubes. Outside the place was very sterile and felt like a prison complete with razor wire. There are a lot of old men. I think they are creating a facade of job openings because the city of Indianapolis is paying for their building as they seemed overly excited to share. It ended up being a total waste of a day away from my job. I feel sorry for the people that are interned in there for a living.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Nothing challenging. They talked about themselves a lot.
They asked to do a remote interview with an online portal. You pretty much answer questions and record your answers. No real person involved at first. Then, proceed with hiring management team.
