I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at RFA Engineering (Urbandale, IA) in Aug 2025
Interview
2 days after submitting my application I was asked for my availability for a phone interview. Despite me responding to the email 3 times, it took 2 weeks for me to get a response. After that phone interview I was asked to complete a coding challenge. Since completing that challenge I have asked for an update and never received it. Instead, I have been completely ghosted. This company has no respect for people in its interview process. The only positive is that I received a certificate from the company that they hired to give me the coding challenge.

First round was a phone interview with a recruiter. We mostly discussed my internships and projects I worked on in school.
Second round was a Teams meeting with a few Software Engineers. They asked more technical questions, like what tools and languages I knew.
Last round was a Teams meeting with some people from John Deere. Before this interview, I was asked to bring a project to present. I demonstrated the program, and then discussed the code that powers it.

Interview
Talked with the recruiter who then sent me a 2 hour testdome in Python that was not for an entry level position. I backed out after 30 minutes. To elaborate I was told there would be a c++ testdome with 10 questions "that I didn't need to ace". So, I asked for a Python version. What I got was a 4 or 5 question coding challenge for someone who is not entry level.
