The interview process was vague, but it was not difficult. By vague, I mean that there is no specific format that the recruiting process had. I had to send emails to ask who I was interviewing with and how it will be conducted (via in-person, Zoom, phone, etc.)
The Interview Process:
1. The recruiter e-mails the applicant to schedule a phone call. This phone call is meant to screen the applicant prior to moving forward in the interview process. During this call, the applicant is asked a set of basic behavioral questions.
*The time between the screening call and the next interview was extremely fast due to their desire to have a fast hiring process.
2. The next part of the interview was with the hiring manager. During this part of the interview, the applicant interviews, via Microsoft Teams, with the hiring manager. It seemed quite informal, as he/she simply describes the job and attempts to assess whether you'd be a good fit for the job or not.
*At the time of this writing, COVID-19 played a part in the interview process. When COVID-19 dissipates, I am unsure of whether or not they will be conducting in-person interviews.
3. The recruiter sends you an email to schedule the next interview with the person above the hiring manager.
*To be frank, I didn't make it any further than that. The recruiter emailed me stating that they were pleased with my interviews and that they would like to move me forward in the interview process, but that's the last that I heard from them.
The email reads, "Thanks for your interest in the Brand Success Manager - Logistics position at REEF. We're excited to move forward with the interview process. To help us schedule your next interview(s), please let us know when you're available by selecting the online calendar link below. We'll coordinate with our team and confirm a time with you."
After emailing them three weeks later to follow-up with them, I was provided no response. It's been a little over two weeks since I sent this follow-up email.
It feels quite unprofessional and as if they wasted my time.
