I had a phone screen with one of the corporate recruiters. They wanted to know my work history to get a better feeling as to where I'd be a good fit. Also, what shift would I prefer, and what compensation I would be looking for.

Very pleasant interview. You get a much better idea what the job is going to be. The benefits are good, kicking in right ways - no need for wait period.
