Application
I interviewed at QinetiQ (Farnborough, Hampshire, South East England, England)
Interview
After I sent off my application, I heard back after 1 week to arrange an interview. The interview was very easy and friendly, full of basic questions about myself and chit-chat with some more specific questions about my skills

Asked about my projects and what i found and learnt from them
Applied to apprenticeships outside usual window. Sent in CV and cover letter, then was invited to a 1 hr killer questions competency style interview with 3 senior software engineers and data science panelists. Mix of technical understanding and previous experience/ soft skills. Interviewers were really lovely!

We did a group problem solving activity, which went well enough and then individual interviews where one of the interviewers was hostile for some reason. He asked me a question, then made assumptions about my answer out loud and didn't let me speak again before moving on.

Question 1
"Why do you want to do an apprenticeship instead of going to 6th form?" I said because I wanted to do more hands on stuff and less theory. Interviewer assumed I was just looking for a way out of exams.
