1. at home assignment (not timed, no due date). They don't even ask for resume. Just do the assignment, record your intro and explanation, and send it
2. Sample project in interview. 2hrs, first 5-30 minutes is introductory questions. Rest is time dedicated to producing real work on their platform. Best way to prepare is the basics: watch the tutorial they send you and use online resources (ai agents, Playwright best practices doc). You get paid for it (they weren't obligated to so very nice of them).
I am waiting to hear back but I didn't do great so best to assume I didn't get the job.
I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at QA Wolf (New York, NY) in Jan 2024
Interview
take home assignment that takes about 30mins to complete, live test after passing assignment which takes about a hour. test isn't hard but platform was buggy. Live test was a bad experience
The process took 3 days. I interviewed at QA Wolf in Apr 2023
Interview
The first interview round involved a take home project, writing a simple QA program for a website in JS. It was straightforward and was the initial step in the process.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Asked to create a simple program that validates some data from a website. Was very easy, but got rejected saying that I didn't go above and beyond. Quite confusing, because I completed the simple objective, but it wasn't enough? Unclear expectations.
