Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Pukka values interview was informal and presented as discussion of core values and how your responded to them
The interviewers were very friendly. The interview consisted of two stages, where the interviewers were asking questions based upon different quotes. The second round of the interview was a project to be delivered.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Pukka Herbs
Interview
The interview process took around 3 months and the stages were as follows:
- 1st stage is to complete a questionnaire asking questions such as "why do you want for Pukka" and "do you work with your head or heart". (Takes roughly 15-30 minutes)
- 2nd stage is an initial chat with two team members. (Takes 40 mins to an hour.)
- 3rd stage is a personality test where the interviewer gives you a set of statements and you choose which best applies to you. (Takes an hour and a half.)
- Final stages are to complete a design task, mine was to design a mug, packaging and a social post based on a collection of teas which then needs to be presented to the wider team. This interview was less structured and quite awkward as colleagues were jumping on and off the call and asking a lot questions. (Takes around an hour.)
_____________
The design task took a couple of days to complete and with the amount of interviews the whole process took way too much of my time.
Some team members were friendly made me feel very comfortable, however three months to complete the process is way too long. I received a very generic email saying I did not get the job which had a very weird sales pitch at the bottom saying they hope I'm "inspired to live a more conscious life by connecting to the incredible power of plants."
I have contacted Pukka twice about getting specific feedback but they ignored my emails. It's extremely disappointing that a company who sent so much time talking about people and kindness demand so much of your time then completely ignore you when you ask for something as simple as feedback.
Thank you for posting a detailed review of your interview experience at Pukka, and we’re sorry you haven’t received specific feedback. This is very disappointing from our end and honestly unusual as feedback is something we prioritise for all candidates we meet (at any stage) and work hard to provide. We recruited 3 different Creative Designer roles simultaneously so the timeline here was a little longer than usual, however the time you invested in the process was significant and we are always appreciative of a candidate’s commitment to the process. We apologise the process wasn’t concluded well for you – please do reach out directly to any of the People Team you met throughout the process as we’d really like to talk to you.
