      Performance Marketing Strategist (Agency) Interview

      Apr 20, 2026
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at ProperExpression in Mar 2026

      Interview

Met with Owner on a Thursday - 2nd interview 4 days later on a Tuesday and then silence for over 2 weeks. Received an email a week after I reached out to say they were going another direction. Then I received an email 3 weeks later from someone in HR asking me to complete a personality quiz? I asked what for and told her I was already interviewed and then she replied, "Sorry, our mistake!" Dodged a bullet here - they're not even sure who is interviewing and what for? Can't imagine working for this company - YIKES!!!

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We owe you a genuine apology. The email you received asking you to complete a personality assessment was sent in error during a transition to a new internal system. It should never have reached you, and we're sorry it did. That kind of confusion adds unnecessary frustration to what is already a significant process for candidates. We genuinely valued getting to know you throughout our conversations and appreciated the time you invested with our team. You deserved a cleaner, more respectful close to the process, and we fell short of that. We're addressing the gaps in our process directly. We wish you all the best in your search.
