I applied in-person. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Proof Fitness (Lexington-Fayette, KY) in Feb 2017
Interview
Went in for two interviews initially. After the second, I was told I would hear back in the next few days and never did. After sending many emails, I finally gave up. Two months later I was contacted again and asked to come interview with someone new. In this interview, I was told I would be given a mock schedule and be contacted for training the next week. It's been almost a month and, after sending many emails with no response, I have given up, for the second time. Very unprofessional.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Proof Fitness (Lexington, KY) in Sep 2014
Interview
Came in for two interviews- The first consisted of general questions about my experience, my training style, and why I want to work there. I was then asked to come in for a second interview where I would be simulating a client- trainer interaction. One of the current trainers pretended to be a new client and I then went through a questionnaire with them and then I took them through a few exercises that engaged a particular area of the body while the head trainer watched. However, the "head trainer" was on his phone the ENTIRE time I was going through the questionnaire and then he said he would call me in a few days but I never received a call. I called Proof and talked to a front desk attendant and she told me he was "still deciding" and would get back to me, but he never did. He was extremely unprofessional and I was not at all impressed with the current personal trainers that I saw/interacted with.
