The interview was originally scheduled for 30 minutes but ended early because the manager’s internet kept cutting out. She appeared to be interviewing from her car and kept freezing throughout the call. Despite the interruptions, she was kind and told me I did a great job, that I was exactly what they were looking for, and that I answered the questions very well. I left the interview feeling confident, but a few hours later I received a rejection email. The recruiter said the manager felt I didn’t have enough experience, which surprised me since I have four years of payroll experience and the position only required two. That feedback didn’t seem accurate or fair.
