      Software Engineer Interview

      May 7, 2025
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at PrizePicks in Apr 2025

      Interview

The interview process was smooth and engaging. The process began with a video interview with a recruiter, followed by a conversation with the hiring manager to discuss my experience and ask questions about the company. After that, I completed a Coderbyte challenge consisting of two LeetCode-style questions at an easy to medium difficulty level. The final round was a panel interview with engineering managers from the team, where I had the opportunity to dive deeper into my experience and ask more detailed questions. Overall, it was a very smooth and well-structured process.

      Interview

My interview process lasted a little over three weeks. It began with an initial call with the recruiter, followed by a conversation with the hiring manager. Then, I completed a four-hour online tech assessment on CoderByte. After that, I had a panel interview with four engineers, and finally, a call with the director. I received an offer the same day as my call with the director. Despite there being several steps, the process moved quickly, and the team kept me informed every step of the way. The recruiter was incredibly responsive and supportive throughout. Regarding the CoderByte assessment - I appreciated that the questions reflected real-world tech I use daily rather than abstract algorithmic problems. Going into the panel interview, I was initially a bit intimidated since it was me and four engineers, but they were all personable and genuinely curious about how I approach problem-solving. Overall - it was a very positive experience for me,
