I interviewed for the Maintenance Manager position, but was told that I needed more corporate experience and they were instead interested in me for a supervisory but less corporate role. So I went through another round of interviews for that position. In the end, they turned me down because of short tenure at my prior positions, which was primarily due to corporate restructuring and layoffs. That's understandable, but the references I provided would have given them insight into those circumstances and they never bothered to check on them. They made me jump through hoops and wasted my time for nothing.
