      Marketing Strategy Planner Interview

      Aug 23, 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Louisville, KY
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Power (Louisville, KY) in Jul 2018

      Interview

Applied online. Got an email requesting an in-person interview. Interviewed with five people in succession. Questions were fairly standard, but I was definitely asked specific skill-based questions. Everyone was very friendly and positive. It was reiterated to me several times that whether or not I would be brought back for a second interview, I would get an email letting me know, with specific feedback one way or the other. Weeks later and not a peep from them, and my follow-up email was ignored. Left the interview with a great impression of the company, but now my impression is quite different, which is a shame. I wouldn't discourage anyone from applying to the company, but be aware that they lack professionalism when it comes to recruitment. It's a small thing to follow up with candidates, but if you're interviewing professionals who work full time elsewhere and they take 2 hours out of a work day for a rigorous interview, reply to follow-up emails at the very least.

Hi there - I am sorry to hear your experience interviewing at Power was substandard. Our hope is for anyone who visits – potential candidates, clients or friends – to have an enjoyable experience when they leave our company. In this case, the needs for this particular position have shifted and we are working through some of the kinks, therefore haven’t made any decisions on candidates. This is no excuse as your email should have been answered, so I personally apologize for the lack of communication and vow to do a much better job when communicating with candidates. Your time is valuable, and we try our best to respect it. Thank you for your review; it only makes us continue to improve our processes. Thank you, Carla Terwilleger, Director of Organizational Development.
