      Client Strategist Interview

      Interview

With job interviews, it is important to trust your gut. Many externuating circumstances may obscure this, but ultimately, it is what I should have done. I was contacted by a recruiter for this opportunity by Postscript on July 27th. They wanted to set up an initial interview. I chose August 4th at 2pm ET. I did the requisite preparation like looking up LinkedIn's, visiting the website, etc. On August 4th, 15 minutes before the interview, I was informed that they had offered the role to another candidate. I found this to be disappointing and unprofessional and I expressed my frustration to the recruiter and their answer was basically, "sorry you feel that way." I understand that a company does not owe me anything and that this is just business. But, I still expect a certain level of professionalism and decorum. Canceling 15 minutes before an interview, after extensive time wasted preparing for said interview, is unacceptable. Even worse, canceling 15 minutes before an interview while knowing there was a high chance an offer was going to go out several weeks before this to another candidate is even more egregious. But what I was really irritated about was the complete lack of accountability. Again I understand to escape culpablity, they must phrase this situation as me "perceiving it a certain way," but it was rude and bad form, either way you slice it. There were many negative job reviews of this company on Glassdoor and I was wary of this interview process. I suppose I should have trusted my instincts. And if you decide to move forward with them, please do so with caution.

      Interview

I had an interview with a recruiter and then the direct supervisor. They were very responsive in scheduling and very fun to talk to. Ultimately my experience didn’t fit what they were looking for, but I was impressed by their kindness and how fast the process was, so wanted to leave a good review!

      Interview

The interviewer asked weird questions about my resume. They asked what types of jobs I was applying for at the moment and what I'm currently looking for in a job. I was thrown off since I've never been asked about what other jobs I'm looking at. They also never really made contact with me - They were focused more on their computer and clicking around.
