      Partner Manager Interview

      Interview

The interview is not an interview but rather you are required to record several videos and submit. I did not receive any feedback, follow up, or even rejection. In fact, I have never spoken to anyone at PostScript other than canned and automated emails. Candidates invest time in applying to the job and submitting these videos, perhaps PostScript should consider having one real interaction with the candidate earlier in the interview process… or at least respond to their email follow ups regarding the status of the interview process. The closest I got to having any interaction with someone at PostScript is that once you’ve finished submitting your videos, the primary contact pops up in a pre-recorded video carrying a dog and waving the dog’s paw. Together, the dog and the person thank you for submitting your videos. That’s the closest I got to having any interaction with someone at PostScript. In total I have sent four emails throughout this process. Once to thank them for moving forward with my application, a second time to figure out how to gain access to the interview system, and twice after the interview to follow up. I have yet to receive a direct response to any of my emails. At this point, I’m glad I did not waste anymore time than I already have with this company. Can you imagine applying to a company where they refuse to talk to you before, during, and after the interview? However, in all fairness, you will receive canned emails and a couple pre-recorded videos. They’ll ghost you once finished, unless they’re moving forward (I suspect). I recommend applying to this company if you’re interested in potentially being treated quite poorly. Pros: SMS marketing is a fantastic space to be in. It’s one of the most effective and fastest growing marketing channels for ecommece brands. PostScript has a bright future and I believe they’ll figure out their interview process and improve on it. They have eight reviews and all are five stars. So I assume that if you ‘crush’ the video interviews and they like you, then you’ll be treated accordingly.

Thank you for taking the time to provide this detailed and thoughtful review. We are very disappointed to hear about your experience as this is not on par with what we aim to provide, and we will take your feedback forward in conversations regarding improving our recruiting processes. We hear you on the prerecorded videos and are actively having discussions around this - we do not wish for any step of our process to feel impersonal. You mentioned feeling that the process was a waste of time due to not receiving any responses, and that in reflection of this you believe we may generally treat applicants poorly. I want to share that we are expanding our Recruiting team in an effort to better keep up with the high application volumes we receive and to provide a better experience throughout the process. We do apologize that you never received a response and hope that you understand high volume and a lean staff is why we are unable to respond to every applicant email, not because we do not care. We appreciate that you highlighted the huge opportunity within the SMS marketing space, and for expressing your faith that our interviewing processes will improve. :) Wishing you a very bright future and the best of luck. -Cailee
