I applied online. I interviewed at Portal Instruments
Interview
First was a google meeting, then an onsite invite. I was shown around the building and interviewed by two other people. There was supposed to be a third virtual interview while I was onsite but that person canceled. I was asked to come back the next day to meet them…for 30 minutes. This clearly shows they don’t value your time, especially with me having to move things around and take time off again. The whole process could have been remote. I was asked how well I would handle having a younger supervisor? Also can I refuse to do something if I don’t think it’s right. Without any context or explanation of severity, the answer was supposed to be you should refuse. I asked what the roadmap of the company looks like and he said I don’t know we could be closed in two years.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Portal Instruments (Cambridge, MA)

I was interviewed by my future department head, my future boss, and another intern I would be working alongside with, with them each asking me a series of question in the span of 10-30 minutes each.
