Really enjoyed these interviews and getting to meet some of the team at POCN during the process. The interviews were fairly casual and performed virtually as a result of COVID, but also very thorough. Upper management - all of whom seemed very engaged and enthused about their roles in the company (always a good sign, especially in a growing organization) - appeared focused on ensuring that hiring me would result in a mutually beneficial fit. I was very happy to detect this emphasis, as it's incredibly important to me as well. My first interview was with a mid-level HR-type person, and this was followed by a group interview with several members of POCN's upper management. Besides focusing on how and where I'd best fit within their organization, my interviewers had several queries meant to determine my level of expertise and experience as a medical writer, and whether I would be capable and willing to take on roles, if/when needed, that might lie beyond the traditional med writing job description. I was happy to oblige this request, as I believe that variety tends to be the spice of life. Seems like POCN is a great company with a lot of potential for the future, and I'm quite excited to become part of their growing team and contribute in whatever ways possible.
