The administration seemed to be eager to find someone who fit their philosophy, yet, when speaking to the teachers, it was clear that there was lack of direction with varying philosophies. Even when it came to curriculum and homework, there was no real consistency. Most of the teachers came off annoyed, unfriendly, and self-righteous. While demoing my lesson plan, the admin showed up late so I started late and ran out of time. The class sizes are larger than most independent schools, but with two teachers, it would be manageable. During the lesson, there was constant redirection needed because so many of the students wanted to do their own thing. I left exhausted, knowing I did not want to work there.
