      Intern Interview

      Sep 12, 2013
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at PlayHaven (San Francisco, CA) in Jun 2013

      Interview

I was contacted by a recruiter at PlayHaven and went through 3 phone interviews easily. I was told that I was a great candidate for the position, and it seemed like they were excited about me applying. I was then asked to come in for an in-person interview with 4 different people. I did my research on the 4 people I was told I would meet with and prepared myself about the company. I drove up there, paid $20 to park, and was given a schedule of the people I would meet with. 2 of the people listed were people that they had not originally told me about, and the person that I would work directly under -- had I gotten the job -- wasn't even in the office that day. Once the interviews started, it felt more like an interrogation than it did an interview. I understand that interviews are a way for them to ask questions, but it didn't even seem as if they were really interested in my answers. 2 of the 4 didn't even look me in the eye the whole time I was there. As the interview process came to an end, the recruiter who had found me, said that I would hear back either that evening or the next morning latest. I didn't hear back for one whole month. If they want people to feel excited about a position, they need to be more organized and better about communicating with applicants.
