I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Planning Center in Sep 2025
Interview
Initial written application comprised of eight questions such as:
What experience do you have with Planning Center products?
Tell us about your experience working in full-time customer service roles.
This position involves answering a high volume of often repetitive customer questions. What appeals to you about that type of work environment?
Application window closed as scheduled and all applicants were notified with clear timeline and all steps in the process, approximately one week to complete and one week for the team to review.
Assessment was total of three customer service responses (two being highly redundant), and observations about the interaction. Took about 30 minutes to find the information and complete. Most of it was copy/paste off the Helpdesk - the hardest part was confirming iOS compatibility with a specifically dated product.
Received a callback for in person interview which was 45-minutes up (up to 1hr) with three staff - two support staff to ask questions and a tech to record the interview and also answer questions as applicable.
Very clear succinct interview with questions directed at cultural fit and working preferences over skillset.
The interview was good. The person who interviewed me was friendly and professional and they asked good questions. On time and respectful of time. Many interviews required along with mini projects which seemed a little excessive but it also seemed like a good job so worth it in the end.

Question 1
What attracted you to the job with planning center?

Interview
I found the interview process to be extremely disrespectful of candidates’ time, considering the fact that the written assignment for round 2 literally took me 3 hours, but then they sent a scripted impersonal rejection email saying they couldn’t provide individual feedback due to the high volume of applicants. I found this extremely inconsiderate.
