I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Planet Fitness (Dayton, OH) in Jan 2016
Interview
The "interview" lasted all of ten minutes. It consisted of asking availability and when you can start. I applied online and called to ask about the status of my application. The manager answer and told me he would call back in five minutes when he went back to the office. Four days went by and he did not call, so I called again and he asked if I could come in that day. I went it and he had forgotten that he scheduled an interview with me and was on break at the time I came in. I waited at the front desk for him to get back from McDonalds and he proceed to eat his food while he spoke to me about the job.
I had a two person interview with a manager and another upper level employee. The questions were relevant and they were very willing to answer any questions I had. I personally don't mind having more than one person interview me for accuracy and oversight, however I can see how that might overwhelm or intimidate another person.
The process was quite Simple and Easygoing. They asked about average and expected interview questions. Nothing too crazy. People were very friendly. Chill environment. Manger made a job offer on the spot. You can choose to accept or decline.
I interviewed at Planet Fitness (Merrick, NY) in Apr 2024
Interview
Simple laid back. Asked about work history and background. Specific hours. Asked if comfortable standing most of the shift. Frequent cleaning. Very nice manager. I feel that younger people tend to get hired more. Pay is not that great.
