The interview process was very good. Just a couple of questions and I was off. Manager was very kind, polite and friendly during the interview. Did not expect as much from a minimum wage job.
I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Planet Fitness (San Diego, CA) in May 2016
Interview
Applied online through their website. Got a call a couple of weeks later for an interview. The interview overall was a pleasant experience. I arrived to the interview a little early and the gym manager was there to greet me. She lead me outside to sit and chat. It was more of a conversation to feel out the type of customer service they'd expect me to give out. It felt really relaxed and causal. After about 15-20 minutes of talking about my experience with customer service and getting to know me a little bit the conversation turned toward the growth and background of the company. I was given a tour of the gym and was told to expect a call within a couple of days on their decision. Offered a job a couple of days later. I'm naturally charismatic guy but I'm sure having a really flexible schedule also helped.

Question 1
I was asked about my availability and customer service experience.
I received a quick 15-minute phone screening followed by meeting with the area and club managers. This all happened within about 2 weeks. I’d say the process was fairly typical to other similar positions.
