First interview was online and second was in person, the latter cancelled last-minute by the recruiter because they found a better fit. I told the recruiter that I would've travelled from Madrid to Milan just for the interview so I needed to know well in advance if anything had changed. The day before the interview, I was told by a boy who I never spoke to that the team has found a better fit and therefore my interview was cancelled. I never felt so disrespected and humiliated in my life, as if my time (and money) was worth nothing to the company. I expressed during the phone call to the boy that I was really disappointed by the way they treated me. Shortly after, the HR who was in charge of my application finally called and planned another interview for a position I did not applied to. I felt like I was pushed around from team to team out of Pirelli's guilt. After having interviewed for two or three positions to which I never applied to, I received no offer, neither was I given an explicit rejection. I knew I was not a good fit to all the additional positions to which I never applied to but most importantly my young age and inexperience gave Pirelli the opportunity to treat me unfairly with no consequences. I never shared this experience out of trauma but people shall know the hypocrisy behind the "Great Place to Work" reward on Pirelli's website and e-mail signatures.
