I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Pinehurst Resort (Pinehurst, NC) in Apr 2026
Interview
Onsite hiring fair at Pinehurst 1898 ballroom was at a quick pleasant pace.
Introduction to an HR persona at the door and completing a questionnaire about what job you might be interested in and if you are looking full or part time work. then if there is a need the appropriate staff member will interview you and then if offered the job you will be e(mailed an offer letter and you will complete an online background check. Pretty quick and painless). I have contacted info and a start date from the staff interviewer and will reach out to her today (she was professional and polite). I look forward to the experience of this job.
I happened to go in on a career fair day. Everyone I talked to from HR and restaurant management were very kind and professional. I ultimately decided to peruse other career paths but I enjoyed my interview. I will say their answer about how they split the 18% added gratuity amount waitstaff was concerning. I’ve worked for a high end resorts in the past and they were very clear how this money was split, how much came in each week, ect. Something about Pinehursts answer seemed off, like the hotel/managers were given a certain percentage which in my mind is an absolute no go.

Interview
I went to an open interview that was pretty simple and went well. They asked me about my background and which positions I was interested in. They said they would give my resume and phone number to a few different managers but I never received a call. I called HR a few times and left a voicemail but never got a call back.
