Highly immoral. Ryan (the CEO) required significant time investment from applicants, effectively designing the larger scale ML system for him. Instead of taking full time candidates seriously (despite interviewing them) or providing feedback for finalists, Ryan hired contractors instead. It seems rather apparent that the ultimate aim was to get free consulting / work hours from candidates, masquerading as a legitimate full time opportunity. This behavior is quite shameful.
