I recently had an interview scheduled with Pet Food Express but unfortunately, the recruiter never showed up. There was no email, call, or explanation—just complete silence. This lack of communication reflects poorly on the HR team and the company’s overall professionalism.
Additionally, the pay for this role is significantly lower than similar positions in the industry. What’s even more frustrating is that while most employees work remotely, this position is required to be in-office without a clear justification. This inconsistency feels unfair and outdated.
Overall, this was a disappointing candidate experience. If this is how they treat potential employees, it raises concerns about how they treat their current team. A company's hiring process says a lot about its culture, and unfortunately, this experience was not a good sign.
