I applied through other source. I interviewed at Perkins Eastman (Costa Mesa, CA) in Sep 2025
Interview
My interview with the Perkins Eastman Costa Mesa studio was conducted over Zoom and had a conversational tone. I was asked to walk through my portfolio and explain the thinking behind several projects, focusing on the design process and how ideas developed rather than just the final visuals.
The discussion also touched on teamwork, communication, and how I approach collaboration in studio environments. Overall, it felt more like a thoughtful conversation about design and professional growth than a formal interview.
Unprofessional and incompetent. Had an interview with recruiter who was desperate to move me on. Then had an interview with the hiring mangaer. She was unprepared and incompent. I had to manage the interview. Avoid these people.
Straightforward. Was brought into office and given tour. Was asked questions during process. Created a model in model shop, and then walked through portfolio. Was asked questions about experience, interest in architecture, etc.
