Asked me questions, but once entering the shop realized I was asked all the wrong questions. I was told I would basically be doing live tech work, on second day of working asked to diagnose a car for intermittent auto on/off system failure.

What experience as a mechanic did I have. Did I have my own tools, what was my availability. When could I start and did I think I could upscale services in cars very well.

I was brought in for an interview with bothe the Shop Foreman and Store Manager. I was asked to tell about myself and background, my experience in the trade, asked a few different scenarios, and what I would do to fix the issue or what I thought the problem could be.

If I had my own box and a basic set of mechanics tools. If I knew how to use a code scanner and retrieve codes.
Standard interview. They tested me in different parts. It was fairly standard. They asked me about changing out different engine parts and oil changes and things like that. I could do all those things.
It takes like 2 weeks to get in then another 2 weeks to hear if you got the job and then if you're lucky you get a job and then what your start date is.
