I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Penske Truck Leasing (Reading, PA) in May 2026
Interview
The beginning of the process was smooth, I was contacted by a recruiter asking if I was interested. We proceeded to have a phone screening which went well. I then heard from the managing director about 2 weeks later asking for a time for us to have a teams meeting. All went well and I ended up getting a final round in-person interview at their corporate office. I then met the director and the VP. Seemed to be nice people and I thought we hit it off very well. After I left the office was when this experience went from great to awful. Director told me to my face they would be in contact very soon, which was a lie. A week after my interview the director posted on Linkedin that he is hiring for that position I just interviewed for, which was very confusing to read. Given that the applicant pool was huge to begin with. How many more people need to apply to be given an interview? Clearly there is a huge disconnect between HR and the hiring manager. Another week goes by and I reach out to the director asking for a timeline and he told me by the end of the week, there will be a decision and he will be in contact. The next day I ended up getting a generic rejection email with no personalization to it. To add to this, the position was constantly being reposted on linkedin for more people to apply. Yet this position still has not been filled. This is an entry-level role and I know of people that have applied with multiple years of experience and yet they weren’t given an offer. I’m interested if this position will ever be filled.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Penske Truck Leasing (Allentown, PA) in Aug 2019
Interview
Very good interview. Was able to meet the team and ask questions about the companys culture. Interview took about 3 hours and went all the way up vp level. I would highly recommend this place to work to anyone interested
