I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Pelton & Crane (North Charleston, SC) in Feb 2015
Interview
Basically, talk about a company that doesn't care about its employees. I was applied when I applied and they didn't even have someone to interview me had abother person fill in. It was a joke, didn't stay long at that job
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Pelton & Crane (Charlotte, NC) in Oct 2015
Interview
Process was a breeze. Showed me around and let me know where everything was at and where I would be working. Gave off a great presence and have a vet friendly vibe. Knew everyone's name who was working
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Pelton & Crane (Charlotte, NC) in Oct 2015
Interview
I was initially contact by a recruiter and had a phone screen with their talent acquisition contact and then a phone interview with the hiring manager, both of which went very well. Just a week after that I was asked to come for an on-site interview which lasted 6 hours and included a plant tour. I felt that the interviews went well. The people seemed nice for the most part, but the organization of the plant is very cramped and complex due to different areas of the plant being on different systems that don't talk to each other.
About 1 week after the on-site, I had another follow-up phone interview with the hiring manager to talk specifically about projects and cost savings which I again thought went well. However, it has been 8 weeks since and there has been no feedback one way or the other.
The whole interview process only took 3 weeks and was about 9 hours of interviewing time.
They did pay for mileage and a hotel, but reimbursement came after 6-7 weeks.
