I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Paylocity (Schaumburg, IL) in Sep 2022
Interview
The application software was amazing. It pulled basically everything from my resume PDF and I only had to make some minor tweaks to the content once it was uploaded to their system. My recruiter was very responsive and took action to move my application along from beginning to end. She kept in touch with me regularly and always made time to chat with me on the phone after each interview to see how it went and how I felt about it. That was a first! I had multiple interviews with various parties in the marketing department. I was slightly concerned because I feel like more than 3 interviews is a red flag and I had a total of 4, but everyone was so kind and really wanted to know about me as much as I wanted to get to know them to make sure it was a good fit. I ended up getting the job and I’m very happy with my decision to work for Paylocity.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
It wasn’t so much a bunch of specific questions as much as it was an open dialogue about our professional experience between both parties. There were questions obviously, but I don’t recall what they were.
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Paylocity (Chicago, IL) in Nov 2021
Interview
1. HR recruiter phone screening
2. Hiring Manager interview (1 hour)
3. Design Challenge
4. Team Interview (1 hour)
I'm not sure if there were further steps beyond an offer, but at this point I was emailed that I no longer being considered.
In general, everyone was nice and very informative. I felt like I could ask questions freely and the environment seems really progressive and friendly.
My only complaint was when I was notified that I would not be making it to the next step in the hiring/interview process, I reached out for feedback and never heard back. It would have been nice to know what made others more competitive than me so that I can work on it as I continue my job search.
